Each experience offers a different way to participate, learn, and engage respectfully with the people who keep these traditions alive.
Altar & Red Clay Pottery Experience
Participate in the preparation of a traditional family altar in Lachigoló, visit a local market, enjoy Oaxacan food and mezcal, and create your own Day of the Dead-inspired red clay pottery piece.
Mezcal Abocado Experience
Take part in the preparation of a limited-production Day of the Dead mezcal abocado, learn from a mezcal-producing family, visit agave fields, and bottle a mezcal you helped create.
Alebrijes, Art & Marigold Fields
Meet the Jiménez family in San Antonio Arrazola, paint your own woodcarving, visit jícama and marigold fields, and experience Oaxaca’s artistic traditions through local families.
